Joanna's Body, Please Hold!
Get along to this uplifting play, with all proceeds going to Breast Cancer Support

Bringing a message of power, exhilaration and joy to the cancer community - this uplifting one-woman play takes you on a wild ride into the realm of health, illness, and the beauty of life.

Three-time cancer survivor, Joanna Tamases, uses her experience in beating breast cancer, Hodgkin's disease and large-cell lymphoma, to pull together a funny and moving theatrical performance.

Joanna's play is showing for one night only in Auckland at the Theatre Pitt, beside the Pitt Street Methodist Church on Friday 22 May from 7.30pm. All proceeds will go towards BCAC member group, the Breast Cancer Support Inc.

The humorous play journeys through the hilarious inner world of Joanna's Body where a sassy receptionist fields calls from a parade of quirky body parts. When two killers attempt to take over, the characters' fight for Joanna's life will leave you cheering.

Joanna will also host a question and answer session after the play for those keen to find out more about her experiences.

Joanna is a renowned actress and in 2004 was nominated for the Los Angeles Ovation Awards Best Lead Actress and Best World Premiere Play. The LA Times has called her work "witty .. delightful .. unabashedly theatrical."

Admission to the play is by koha, suggested $10. For bookings or more information, phone Marie on (09) 835 1890.
