Amazon Heart Adventures for Breast Cancer Survivors
Amazon Heart is a unique international peer support organisation hosting adventure events for women who have experienced breast cancer.
Three New Zealand women participated in The Amazon Heart Thunder Australia motorcycle ride in May 2009.
BCAC is delighted to have been chosen as the recipient of their fundraising and has received more than $4000 from the trio of riders. It's a fantastic achievement and BCAC is grateful for their efforts.

About Amazon Heart
Amazon Heart adventure events are tailored to women's interests and age groups and aim to:
- Provide unique peer support opportunities for women to share their experiences through breast cancer.
- Provide support, strength and inspiration to those who take part in our adventures, and to other breast cancer survivors and the wider community.
- Raise funds for local breast cancer organizations and raise awareness of breast cancer issues.
The events are an amazing opportunity for women to share their experiences with other survivors and further their own journey of emotional and psychological healing after breast cancer. Each event also has a unique social impact, either through direct community service as part of the event, or raising funds for community projects. Most importantly, they are about coming together, celebrating living life fully and having a fantastic time!
