TriWoman event benefits breast cancer

The final TriWoman Series is being held on April 9, 2011 at Pt Chevalier.  Give it a go and you'll be supporting BCAC member group, the New Zealand Breast Cancer Foundation (NZBCF).

With a swim of 300m, cycle of approx 10km and a run or walk of approx 3km to finish, the distances are achievable but challenging enough to give a real sense of accomplishment. Sign up for it now!

The NZBCF is the official charity for the final event. To help support us all you need to do is get your friends and family to sponsor you to complete the race - easy!

You can enter as an individual or rally your girlfriends for a team effort. And if swimming is not for you there is a duathlon (run/cycle) option at each event. Sign up for it now!

Where your money goes:

The NZBCF is dedicated to fighting against the incidence and effects of breast cancer in our community. The money raised from the Contact TriWoman Series will help go towards our community outreach programmes that help women return to their normal lives as quickly as possible after treatment.

These include Pink Pilates, a personalised therapeutic programme offered to women recovering from breast cancer surgery that aims to rebuild strength and confidence post surgery, and Sweet Louise, a programme which offers a broad range of support services to provide uplifting experiences and practical help to women coping with treatment and its day-to-day challenges.
