Two BCAC member groups have some great events coming up in November. Read on to find out all about them.

Who said Mondays were boring?

Monday evenings can be dull but BCAC member group, WONS: Well Women & Family Trust, a major Auckland women's health service is changing that – for two consecutive Mondays in November by hosting two fantastic fundraisers.

In association with Guthries Jewellers, WONS is hosting an exclusive Jewellery Night on 14 November at the jeweller’s premises in Queen Street, Auckland from 6pm. A light supper and wine will be served as well as chances to win 20 gem stones in a silent auction. Guthries will provide advice about remodeling, recycling and repairing jewellery as well showcasing their range of jewels available. Tickets are just $30 with all proceeds supporting WONS.

The following Monday 21 November WONS will play host again, this time pre-screening festival favourite Submarine at Capitol Cinema in Dominion Road, Auckland. The coming-of-age comedy set in 1980’s Wales follows the trials and tribulations of 15 year old Oliver. It delighted audiences at festival screenings with its dead-pan humour. Tickets are just $25 including wine.

Tickets for both events can be purchased via www.eventfinder.co.nz or by calling the WONS office 09 846 7886 ext 0.

Breast Cancer Network Photo event

To celebrate the 100th issue of their magazine, Upfront U Kaiora, the Breast Cancer Network (BCN) is organising an event to photograph 100 people affected by breast cancer. The photo will be published in the celebratory 100th edition of the magazine.

BCN would be delighted if you can join them at 10.00am on Saturday November 5th, at The Grandstand, Auckland Domain. They will be gathering sun or rain, as the Grandstand will be used if it is wet.

They have arranged for limited parking at the Cancer Society Auckland, 1 Boyle Cres, Grafton. This is diagonally opposite the main Domain Gates, next to Auckland Hospital.

Please also invite any family, friends or colleagues you would like to join with you for the photo – the more the merrier. For more information click on the link at the bottom page.

Please contact BCN on admin@bcn.org.nz if you have any queries, or to let them know if you can take part.
