Event Date

BCAC Annual General Meeting

When: Tuesday, 03 December 2019

Time: 6-8 pm

Where: Domain Lodge, Auckland Cancer Society, 1 Boyle Crescent, Grafton, Auckland

We are fortunate to have Malcolm Mulholland (pictured right), the chair of Patient Voice Aotearoa, as our guest speaker. Patient Voice Aotearoa (PVA) is a charitable trust that promotes the rights of patients. Currently the focus of PVA is to gather signatures for a petition that calls on the Government to reform PHARMAC and double the agency's budget.

Malcolm became involved in the campaign for the funding of the breast cancer drugs, Kadcyla and Ibrance, following his wife Wike being diagnosed with advanced breast cancer in May 2018. He has since been involved in a number of petitions to the Governement, asking that PHARMAC fund drugs across a range of diseases and conditions. He and Wiki have three children, Molly Rose (18), Ihaia (14) and Patrick (11).

All are welcome to the AGM. Put the date in your diaries now.

Please RSVP to Celia Motion on email: celiam@breastcancer.org.nz
