Breast Reconstruction Awareness Evening
Breast Reconstruction Awareness (BRA) evening
Due to have a mastectomy? Or had a mastectomy but hesitated about reconstruction?
Five plastic surgeons, including North Shore Hospital-based Dr John Kenealy and Dr Ashwin Chunilal, will outline your options at a Breast Reconstruction Awareness (BRA) evening, funded by Breast Cancer Foundation NZ, on Wednesday October 18th.
It’s a great opportunity to find answers to all your questions. For example, should you have an implant? If so - immediate or delayed? Will your breasts end up evenly-shaped? What about your nipples?
When: Wednesday October 18th
Where: Lecture Theatre 505-007, Ground Floor, Building 505, Auckland University Medical School 85 Park Road, Grafton
Dr Meredith Simcock, Dr Ashwin Chunilal, Dr John Kenealy, Dr Alessandra Canal and Dr Michelle Locke will cover topics including expander/implant reconstruction, latissimus dorsi reconstruction, free abdominal tissue flap and breast balancing and nipple reconstruction.
Medical professionals are also welcome to attend. BRA Day has been approved for up to 1.5 CME credits for the General Practice Educational Programme (GPEP) and Continuing Professional Development (CPD) purposes.
