About the webinar
Breast cancer treatments can affect your fertility, which can be devastating if you haven’t completed your family. In this webinar, the panel of two medical professionals and a breast cancer survivor will talk about the steps that you can take which may protect your fertility during this difficult time.
This session will give you a chance to hear a more in-depth discussion about why a cancer diagnosis could affect your fertility and what you can do about it. The last 15 minutes of the session will take the form of a Q&A, where our experts answer your most pressing questions.
The panel
Caroline Eric, who was diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer, aged 33, in September 2011, will share her experience of fertility preservation.
Dr Sheridan Wilson is a medical oncologist specialising in the treatment of breast cancer. Sheridan will talk about how fertility and breast cancer treatment fit together ’ timing issues, sequencing and safety ’ as well as getting pregnant after breast cancer and the return of natural fertility.
Dr Guy Gudex is a fertility specialist, gynaecologist and the Medical Director and Founder of Repromed New Zealand. Guy will talk about the range of available fertility preservation options, eligibility for publicly-funded treatment and give an overview of how fertility treatment is tailored.
