NZBCF Pink Ribbon Breakfasts
Throughout May, BCAC member group, The New Zealand Breast Cancer Foundation (NZBCF), is inviting you to take part in a Pink Ribbon Breakfast with your friends, family and colleagues to celebrate the importance of our mothers, raise vital funds and remind us all that healthy lifestyle choices have a big impact on our health.
A Pink Ribbon Breakfast is a fundraising event for The NZBCF that any member of the public can sign up to and host. It's a great opportunity to get together with friends and family over breakfast or lunch anytime during the month of May and raise funds for The NZBCF.
The funds raised will go towards the Research for Life fund. This programme represents an annual funding commitment of $825,000 for research designed to improve breast cancer survivorship. Examples of current research projects of this fund include the investigation of early detection of resistance to the anti-estrogen drug Tamoxifen and the role of the immune system as a cause of breast cancer drug resistance.
