The 10th Australasian Lymphology Association Conference will be held in Auckland, New Zealand in April next year.

Entitled “Koru: life, growth, movement” the conference will take place from 3-5 April 2014.

The organisers are aiming to provide an innovative, thought provoking and quality three day Conference programme. In addition to the highly successful workshops and papers of the past, they are looking forward to a number of interactive and lively panel debates around contemporary issues.

There will also be a “Public & Consumer Day” on Saturday 5 April 2014. If you or someone you know is living with lymphoedema then this day is for you.

Key note speakers include Margaret McNeely and Stéphane Vignes.

Margaret McNeely, PT, MSc.PT, PhD
Margaret is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Physical Therapy at the University of Alberta in Edmonton, Canada. She currently holds a joint appointment in the Department of Oncology and performs clinical research in the Rehabilitation Medicine Department at the Cross Cancer Institute. Dr. McNeely’s research interests are in the area of cancer rehabilitation and exercise.

Stéphane Vignes
Since 2001, he has been the Head of the Lymphology Unit of Cognacq-Jay Hospital, in Paris, that treats children and adults with primary and secondary lymphoedema. He also teaches and trains lymphoedema specialists, conduct clinical research on lymphedema, and is involved in therapeutic patient education to improve lymphoedema management and patients’ quality of life.
