Te Whatu Ora, Counties Manukau and Breast Cancer Foundation NZ are hosting a free Breast Reconstruction Awareness (BRA) evening in Auckland on Wednesday 15th October 2025.
It's a great opportunity to learn more about options for breast reconstruction surgery. This event is open to the public, whānau and health professionals.
A panel of plastic surgeons from Te Whatu Ora Counties Manukau, including Dr Amber Moazzam, Dr Ashwin Chunilal, Dr Alessandra Canal and Dr Michelle Locke will talk about all the different options for reconstruction, the timing for surgery, what to expect from recovery and how to work out which option to choose.
Following the presentations there will be time for discussions and the opportunity to ask questions.
The event will be held at the Waipuna Hotel and Conference Centre, 58 Waipuna Road, Mount Wellington, Auckland.
Please arrive from 6pm for registration and light refreshments before the event starts at 6.30pm with a welcome from Ah-Leen Rayner, CEO of Breast Cancer Foundation NZ.
Drinks and nibbles will be served after the talks while you browse the trade stands and chat with the speakers and women who have had breast reconstruction.
