We are thrilled that Lachlan McKenzie (38) has decided to run his first marathon for BCAC. Lachlan’s mum, Julie Bunnell, has advanced breast cancer, and Lachlan is running for BCAC because of the support we give women like her.

Lachlan ran his first half marathon in 2017, for Sweet Louise. This time he’s taking on the Queenstown marathon on 16 November. Julie says, “Breast Cancer Aotearoa Coalition advocates for better outcomes for New Zealanders living with advanced breast cancer. I think it’s awesome that Lachlan is dedicating his first marathon to them.”

Lachlan says, “It’s going to be tough, both physically and mentally. But I’m super excited about this goal and knowing that I’m helping a great cause is really motivating.”

With the marathon only four months away, Lachlan is in regular training and hopes to drum up lots of support from people making donations while he trains for his big day.
