Principal investigator Dr Samina Munir at Te Herenga Waka - Victoria University Wellington is looking for people diagnosed with breast cancer within the last three years to take part in an anonymous online survey (10-15 min). Her study aims to understand the information needs and experiences of people diagnosed with breast cancer and explore whether there is a need for a more holistic, patient-centred representation of the breast cancer journey, from diagnosis, through to treatment, discharge and follow-up care. Specifically, her team is investigating whether creating a clear and accessible breast cancer information decision support aid could help patients better understand their journey, reduce anxiety, support informed decision-making, and make it easier to manage treatment decisions.
