Casting for Recovery
 

Applications for 2013 Retreats closes tomorrow, 16 November 2012.

Casting for Recovery (CFR) provides retreats at no cost to participants, which allow people whose lives have been profoundly affected by breast cancer to gather in a beautiful, natural setting and learn to fly fish. It offers participants an opportunity to experience the peace and solitude and the chance to be in the moment that fly fishing provides. The retreat also incorporates a range of other services to promote well-being.

The 2.5 day retreat weekend is one of fun and support with the mission of our trained volunteers being that of empowerment and achievement to what ever level you are capable of.

Dates include:

Turangi: 8-10 February 2013, TALTAC, Turangi
Te Awamutu: 22-24 February 2013, Castle Rock Adventures, Wharepapa South
Nelson: 5-7 April 2013. Will be held at Owen River Lodge, Owen Valley, near Murchison

Breast Cancer Aotearoa Coalition Annual General Meeting 2012
 
BCAC invites you to its 2012 Annual General Meeting to hear about its activities during the year. 

You'll also hear from the Medical Director of Fertility Associates, Dr Mary Birdsall, who will discuss the various fertility treatments available to women with cancer.  This promises to be a fascinating look at a fast-changing area of medical technology which can be so crucial for younger women with breast cancer.
