Seminar ‘The Role of Thoughts, Feelings and Stress in the on-set and maintenance of Breast Cancer’

Member group Breast Cancer Network will be holding a seminar titled ‘The Role of Thoughts, Feelings and Stress in the on-set and maintenance of Breast Cancer’ with International Speaker Richard Moat.

The seminar will be held on Friday 2nd November from 9.30 – 11.30am at Auckland Cancer Society Domain Lodge, 1 Boyle Crescent (off Park road), Grafton, Auckland.

There is limited seating therefore bookings are essential.  All are welcome, and morning tea will be provided at the commencement of the event (along with a chance for a mingle).  There is no entry fee, however a donation would be greatly appreciated.

Richard addresses cancer from a thought-feeling (“psycho-emotional”) point of view.   His father’s diagnosis of pancreatic cancer saw Richard move from corporate peak performance coach and part-time international athlete, to student and practitioner of integrated approaches to treating all types of illness and creating optimal wellness.  Study that straddled The British College of Integrated Medicine and the Academy of Lifestyle Medicine in the UK has helped Richard emerge as a credible and widely consulted authority on exactly how our thoughts and feelings affect our health.

Richard’s self-styled approach – known as ‘Moativational Medicine™’ - is a model that is grounded in the principles of metaphysics, the practice of energy psychology, the science of mind-body medicine, and the art of releasing human potential. It has emerged from his [current total of] twenty-nine years in the fields of health, wellbeing, positive change and personal transformation.  Richard teaches and lectures internationally, as well as conducting private in-person and on-line worldwide consultations from his Auckland clinic, specialising in transforming the psycho-emotional, conscious and unconscious stressors that help create and maintain illness and disease, including cancer.

You can find out all about Richard’s work at www.richardmoat.com … take the time to click on ‘Cancer 5’, a not-for-profit-for-progress programme aimed to help those directly and indirectly living with cancer.

The group meets at dove house http://www.ebhospice.org.nz/ at 6pm.  Refreshments provided.

Dates for 2013:Wednesdays 29/5, 31/7, 25/9.
