A fun run/walk around the three bridges in Raglan is being held on Saturday, 9 March in support of the Waikato Breast Cancer Trust.
 
There will be stalls and prizes with all proceeds from the event being donated to the Waikato Breast Cancer Trust.
 
Entry is a gold coin donation, race starts at 11am at the boat ramp (Kopua Reserve).  Bring your family along and have a fun filled day in Raglan!

BCN Seminar with Dr Bruce Lipton - Mind Over Genes

Member group Breast Cancer Network are thrilled to announce that Dr. Bruce Lipton has kindly agreed to present at the Cancer Society for those affected by breast cancer and their supporters.  Dr Lipton is an international presenter with a wealth of knowledge, and only spends 2-3 months of the year in New Zealand.

 

Stem cell biologist, bestselling author of books 'The Biology of Belief' and 'Spontaneous Evolution', and recipient of the 2009 Goi Peace Award, Dr. Lipton has been a guest speaker on hundreds of TV and radio shows, as well as keynote presenter for numerous national and international conferences.  He has taken his award-winning medical school lectures to the public and is regarded as one of the leading voices of the new biology. 
  
 
Dr Lipton's presentation will be held on Thursday 14th March 6.30pm at Domain Lodge, Cancer Society, 1 Boyle Crescent, Grafton, Auckland.

Floral Notes play with Geraldine Brophy at the ASB theatre

This micro musical bounces into town with laughter, tears and garden trowels.
 
Written by and featuring well known actress and writer, Geraldine Brophy, $10 from every ticket to the Gala Auckland performance goes to The NZBCF.
 
Iris and Rosemary were pen pals when they were young girls. In their teenage years they lost touch. Nowadays, Iris lives in a brownstone in New York and longs for a garden on her roof…a sanctuary away from her peculiar family and her busy urban world where she runs an art gallery. Rosemary owns a large lifestyle property in Hawke's Bay. She grows nuts and micro-veggies for the commercial market – but lavishes her love on a tiny plot of flowers, just for herself.
 
Through a twist of fate they re-kindle their friendship and Rosemary offers to help Iris transform her New York roof top into a garden paradise – via email.
 
Told with humour and charm, Floral Notes is a touching, sometimes poignant story of these two pen pals whose lives are enriched when their friendship is renewed.
