Come along to hear from guest speakers Libby Burgess - Breast Cancer Aotearoa Coalition's (BCAC) Chair, Philippa Reed - Sweet Louise CEO and Terre Nicholson - BCAC committee member and Metavivor.
BCAC Chair Libby Burgess has actively campaigned on a range of breast cancer issues including the need for fully funded access to Herceptin and other breast cancer medicines. In 2011, Libby was made a Member of the NZ Order of Merit for services to women’s health.
Philippa Reed is the CEO of Sweet Louise, a charitable Trust committed to improving the quality of life for New Zealanders living with secondary breast cancer through the provision of information, advice, support and access to a range of free practical and therapeutic services.
Terre Nicholson was diagnosed with Stage 4 breast cancer in 2013 and given less than two years to live. She has beaten the odds and is stable in 2019. Terre is passionate about making funded life-extending medications available for those living with Stage 4 breast cancer.
