About the webinar
Breast cancer treatments affect people in different ways. Some people experience mild side effects, while for others they are more severe. In this webinar the expert panel discusses strategies for managing side effects of chemo and radiation, and reducing their severity, to boost quality of life during this difficult time.
Meet the panel
- Hannah Dhanaraj was diagnosed with HER2-positive breast cancer just after her 40th birthday, in 2014. She'll share her experience of breast cancer, the side effects she suffered, and the methods of coping that worked for her.
- Nurse Chelsea Prout is a specialist breast oncology nurse at Canopy Care Centre. Chelsea will focus on the common side effects of chemotherapy, as well as ways to prevent and treat them.
- Dr Ruth Angell is a radiation oncologist at Auckland Hospital. Ruth will talk about side effect management from a radiotherapy perspective, exploring ways to reduce your risk and the severity of symptoms.
